Debit Card or Credit Card to Buy a Car

A bought a new car this week, a Hyundai Getz 1.6 Sport.

Originally I planned to buy the car using my credit card. Gives me 30 days to pay off the balance (I always clear my credit card each month) and the theoretical added protection of purchasing on a credit card.

Turns out the used car sales business passes on the credit card charges (3%) to the customer (that's me, I'm the customer!!!!!).

Since the car cost almost £3,800 (3% is over £100) I pulled out my debit card instead (no charges as it's like paying cash).

This means I have none of the added protection of paying by credit card, which sucks!

Restaurant Critics

This morning, I have a breakfast meeting at a place called Big Ed's. One article on the web has this quote from Ed:

No big surprise that Big Ed has had his arteries unclogged several times.

My cardiologist says, 'You stop 'em up, I clean 'em out,' " he said, before hollering for the waitress to bring over more biscuits.

Some Restaurant Critic!

I wonder what is the proper etiquette for ordering at this place (which is a meeting place of the movers and shakers in the city). Eggs or pancakes? Country ham or sausage? I do not think I will be ordering an omelet bur you can bet biscuits will be consumed by the score.
